Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

microDATA, a 9-1-1 software solutions company, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Project Manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • 9-1-1 or telecommunications project deployment experience
  • External customer relationship management experience
  • Lead Project Manager on customer focused I.T. hardware/software installations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as customer liaison for all processes and manage customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate new project procurement, staging, training and installation
  • External and internal stakeholder coordination
  • Apply PMI techniques to projects and work in tandem with stakeholders to drive projects forward through predetermined path
  • Maintain documentation in Microsoft Project, Microsoft CRM and Microsoft SharePoint as required
  • Track all project milestones for all projects including billing milestones
  • Coordinate technical operations ongoing projects - such as scheduling maintenance updates, migrations, etc.
  • Provide post-install customer support and management

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure on-going contact with the project's service providers to ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of resources to meet requirements
  • Take pro-active or corrective action
  • Examine technical and technology documentation for completeness and latest versions
  • Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in an associated field
  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience in a 9-1-1 or telecommunications related industry
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, CRM, SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Well-spoken individual capable of taking complete ownership of assigned projects
  • Experienced and skilled at leading conference calls, customer meetings, internal meetings, etc. all to assure successful project completion
  • Organized and conscientious with the ability to see project through to successful completion
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of budgets, purchasing, and accounting procedure
  • Ability to develop, implement and coordinate comprehensive schedules
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work
  • Must live within a 45 minute drive of the Greenwood Village office

Project Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

microDATA, a 9-1-1 software solutions company, is seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator who can successfully work with internal and external project stakeholders to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude multi-month long complex projects. The qualified candidate will be capable of coordinating, tracking and documenting each aspect of new projects, and function in a support roll for multiple Project Managers with the customer and the microDATA departments, teams and individuals before, during and after installation of a project.

This position requires excellent communication skills and superior skills utilizing project management software, as well as other required software. Ultimately, it is the goal of the Project Coordinator to utilize all available resources to assure the success of every project.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as an internal or external liaison for all processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with internal stakeholders throughout company to assure external facing project success
  • Rollout management
  • Coordinate new project training and installation
  • Internal office coordination
  • Apply PMI techniques to projects and work in tandem with stakeholders to drive projects forward through predetermined path
  • Organize diverse and geographically disconnected contributors to deliver the project to successful conclusion
  • Documentation: in CRM and SharePoint as required
  • Track all project milestones for all projects including billing milestones
  • Post-install customer support
  • Coordinate technical operations ongoing projects - such as scheduling maintenance updates, migrations, etc.
  • Ownership in commanding that quality deliverables are handed to a customer, on time and under budget.
  • Member of Technical Operations team

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain contact with stakeholders to ascertain project requirements and/or level of satisfaction with progress and performance
  • Maintain contact with the project's service providers to ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of resources to meet requirements
  • Take pro-active or corrective action
  • Examine technical and technology documentation for completeness and latest versions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree or greater in an associated field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Well-spoken individual capable of taking complete ownership of assigned projects
  • Organized and conscientious with the ability to see project through to successful completion - knowing when to escalate or engage additional resources to right a waning project
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Successful completion of in-house training programs
  • Knowledge of budgets, purchasing, and accounting procedure
  • Ability to implement and coordinate comprehensive schedules
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work
  • Must live within 45 minutes of the office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer monitor
  • Vision must be sufficient to use computer monitor, telephone and other required office equipment
  • Hearing must be sufficient to converse with team members and clients

JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
  • Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive data
