xSR
|
A proven Next Generation 9-1-1 Selective Router that enables your emergency services to route VoIP, IM, and other IP communications, in addition to analog land line (TDM) calls |
Versatility and Flexibility
xSR™ (an IP-based Selective Router) operates as a NG9-1-1 replacement for legacy selective routers. Where circuit-switched selective routers relay calls according to routing tables, xSR™ relays calls based on geospatial data. When receiving a Presence Information Data Format Location Object (PIDF-LO) and querying LoST, xSR™ assures that all call types are relayed to the correct Public Services Answering Point (PSAP). Nomadic callers using cellular or VoIP are correctly relayed, ensuring accuracy and rapid response.
Before a 9-1-1 call enters the PSAP network, the gateway converts all TDM calls into SIP, the protocol specified by NENA for i3 call routing. This provides for seamless relay over the Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet). xSR™ bridges the gap between legacy 9-1-1 systems and Next Generation 9-1-1 and enables the processing of landline calls, wireless and IP-based communications, including VoIP.
- Exceed NENA i3 standards for Next Generation 9-1-1 call routing
- Automatic failover to a redundant backup with no manual intervention, A/B switching nor hot standby
- Bridge the gap from legacy analog (PSTN) with high quality conversion of call data to Internet Protocol (IP).
- Route based on spatial data as well as tabular data
- Provide a non-proprietary, software-based device that can evolve with technology
- Easily integrate with your existing infrastructure and services on the Emergency Services IP Network
- Offer a highly available, load balanced and fault tolerant system
- Eliminate CPE and deliver calls directly from the ESInet to xT911™
- Save money by building a shared ESInet with other agencies, integrate with existing TDM infrastructure as well as other ESInets
- Cost Savings with Common Off The Shelf Equipment (COTS) and no future harware forklift
- A system that is easy to install and support, and scalable to future needs, with unlimited trunking capability, and no interface cards used.

| Will support as many calls in conference as needed. |
| i2 architecture was implemented to support the interconnection of VoIP domains with the existing Emergency Services Network Infrastructure. i3 further adds the ability to provide the PSAP with location information for a VoIP caller. |
| Location to Service Translation protocol determines how to route a call to the correct PSAP. The LoST protocol will be utilized more frequently in the future where Selective Routers must dynamically respond to correctly routing nomadic callers to the appropriate PSAP. |

In addition to routing based on tabular data, xSR queries the x/y coordinate of a caller, adding a critical layer of intelligence, particularly when routing nomadic callers. |
