xSwitch is included in xT911, our Next Generation call handling solution, and may also be purchased separately.
Replacing your legacy CPE (Customer Premises Equipment)?
In selecting a switch for your PSAP, your challenges may include:
- Aligning with emerging NG9-1-1 and i3 standards
- Processing VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls and IP communications
- Finding a cost-effective alternative to proprietary, hardware-based CPE
- Sharing call information fluidly between PSAPs and first response units on a secure, private network
- Operating as a fully redundant and survivable system
- Routing calls spatially, in addition to traditional tabular routing
- Integrating with existing equipment
- Deploying a system that is easy to install and support, and scalable to future needs.
Our NG9-1-1 Solution
Behind xT911, our Next Generation call handling solution, resides a powerful fully i3 aligned software-based switch, xSwitch™. Unlike legacy CPE, it is IP-based, leveraging the power of an IP network within and outside the PSAP.
xSwitch™ can process VoIP and IP communications natively from the internet or ESInet and is ready to support text, video and other media when the wireless industry supports an i3 oriented delivery mechanism. It is based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and integrates voice, data and spatial data.
xSwitch™ offers revolutionary features for PSAP call handling systems:
- An i3 aligned, IP-based phone system that processes landline, wireless and VoIP calls and will support future media types without forklift of proprietary equipment
- A 9-1-1 phone switch that runs on COTS equipment - no proprietory hardware necessary
- Information is shared fluidly between all 9-1-1 stakeholders: PSAPs, FirstResponders, Dispatch and Field Offices – over a secure, Emergency Services Network
- Deployed in redundant pairs and can employ geographic diversity, ensuring survivability
- An Optional Spatial ACD ensures that calls processed by xSwitch™ query GIS, enabling transfer to the appropriate call taker position at the PSAP
- Integrates with most popular CAD systems
